Tweaks, get over yourself. There were very likely loads of people before you, and chances are high that DJ wants to make them quality instead of busting them out in 3 minutes.
Hey, I just want to say… I’m not up in arms at all. I read his post like he wish he would have said something different. No reason to call out the hordes! heh.
GTI, we’re not the ones using four (4) exclamation points and full lowercase. Ishtar, use of the word “finally” indicates aggression. That, and he probably didn’t realize that DJ does these in his spare time and receives $2 for it. This is capitalism in it’s purest form, and while that doesn’t mean you don’t get to complain, you should still follow the “Don’t Be An Asshole” rule of commerce too.
So a single word is worth 3 posts of complaints, and as DJ himself says, drama?
Besides which finally can be used in a mechanical sense to mean ‘eventually’.
Who are you to judge his intent? There is more than one way to skin a cat.
To be honest, I like Wikipedia’s take on it, when there is more than one way to take something, assume good faith. What he said may have ticked you off, but I don’t see DJ complaining.
Yeah, i didn’t find the guy’s comments insulting. In fact ,I kinda went back and looked and wished I’d of drawn the hind legs better, but I do some of these pretty fast… I guess those are my “power puff” hind legs! heh.
In the end, it’s 2 bucks. Out of the hundreds of orders I have, even the people asking where their drawing is after it’s been more than a month, end up telling me its no big deal and they’re cool with waiting. I think people get the novelty machine aspect of this.
hind legs? its all good… man this drawing is sweet, one of my favorites on here! It has this awesome quirky “cute yet psyco” vibe to it, which I totally dig! nice work yet again man, I’d like to be able to draw a bit more like you =)
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the legs DJ, it’s part of your style, and you draw some very funny things, or take requests in slightly odd directions, and I like that. If I ever think of a good request, I will certainly be sending you my $2

Did you all miss the part that he said ‘I like’, and that his only actual complaint is directed against himself?
You’re all raised up in glorious defense of DJ, when there’s nothing I would call an actual attack, or offense against Coffman.
